Full-time · Anna + Nina HQ de pijp

About the job

We are a growing Dutch brand expanding in Europe and beyond. As we scale, we seek a proactive HR Operations Manager to oversee and run all human resources functions across our stores and headquarters. This is a sole HR role, offering the opportunity to shape and improve HR processes, increase operational efficiency, while ensuring compliance with (inter)national employment laws.

Our team consists of approximately 75 full-time employees and on-call workers, distributed across our headquarters and five stores located both in the Netherlands and internationally (3 in the Netherlands, 1 in Belgium, and 1 in the UK).

In this solo-position you are responsible for running HR operations independently, from recruitment, to onboarding, payroll, compliance, employee relations and budget management. You ensure that the administration is fully up to date and error-free, while you also take the initiative to improve processes. You will be working closely with multiple departments within the organization and report to the CFO.

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting & Onboarding:

    • Manage the onboarding and offboarding process.

    • Manage of absence and sickness policy.

    • Coordinate and check the monthly salary run (of NL, BE and the UK) and manage employee benefits.

  • HR Policies & Compliance:

    • Improving HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with EU and UK employment laws.

    • Improving HR strategy and translating them into concrete plans (such as strategic personnel planning, salary structure, and training and development).

    • Increase automation in HR processes and improve operational efficiency.

  • Employee Relations & Performance management:

    • Act as the primary HR contact, handling grievances, performance management, and workplace culture.

    • Support managers on all employee relation matters (for instance sick leave) and provide legal advice when necessary. (In compliance with the ‘Wet Poortwachter’, you coordinate appointments with the arbo service and follow up in case needed.)

    • Organize and oversee midyear and end-year evaluations, ensuring structured feedback and performance improvement processes.

    • Share internal communication regarding employee matters.

  • HR Budget Management:

    • Oversee the HR budget, including payroll, training costs, and employee benefits, ensuring cost-effective HR operations.

  • Relevant working experience in HRM (and payroll), ideally in retail or multi-site operations.

  • Strong knowledge of Dutch (EU) employment law.

  • Experience with NMBRS or another salary administration software.

  • Extensive experience with Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills, in both Dutch and English.
