Assistant Store Manager
The role
The Assistant Store Manager shares responsibility with the Store Manager for the daily operations of the store. This position serves as the second point of contact within the store and ensures strong commercial performance, an excellent customer experience, and smooth operational processes. The role combines responsibility with opportunities for further development in the field of retail management. The Assistant Store Manager plays an independent, supportive role on the shop floor and actively contributes to achieving commercial, operational, and team-oriented goals.
What You’ll Be Doing
Store Operations & Daily Leadership
Ensure a well-organized, inviting, and smoothly running store environment.
Share responsibility for planning, executing, and monitoring daily store operations.
Oversee cash handling, inventory flow, and compliance with internal procedures together with the Store Manager.
Customer Experience & Commercial Performance
Put the customer at the heart of everything you do and ensure the brand identity is reflected on the shop floor.
Spot commercial opportunities and turn them into concrete actions that drive sales results.
Follow up on customer feedback and insights from the organization to continuously improve the shopping experience.
Team Coaching & Collaboration
Guide and motivate the team in service, attitude, and teamwork on the floor.
Help build a professional, engaged, and positive team culture.
Support a safe and enjoyable work environment where everyone can grow and perform at their best.
Communication & Coordination
Act as the secondary point of contact for the team and for departments at HQ.
Facilitate clear communication between the store and head office, translating feedback and information into actionable steps on the shop floor.
Manage and monitor incoming communication such as emails and updates from support departments.
Process Control & Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with internal guidelines, structure, and store agreements.
Safeguard the continuity of daily routines and processes in collaboration with the team.
Provide input to improve store operations and optimize internal workflows.

You have at least 1 year of relevant leadership experience — or you can clearly show that you have the potential to take on this responsibility.
You’re available for at least 24 hours per week and are willing to work on weekends.
You’re flexible, resilient, and have excellent people skills.
You work in a precise, organized, and structured way.
You speak fluent Dutch and have a good command of English.
You’re able to spot sales opportunities and act on them.
